Wall-mounted TV with no visible cables in a Brisbane living room

TV wall mounting across north Brisbane, from the crew based here

We work from Mango Hill, which puts the whole northside from Chermside to Caboolture within a short drive. The housing changes every few kilometres, from 60s brick veneer to steel-framed estates and Hebel townhouses, and the fixing changes with it. Every job is priced fixed before we drill.

The northside, wall by wall

Three belts of housing, three kinds of job

Drive north from Chermside and the era of the houses ticks forward every few suburbs. That is the map we work from.

Chermside to Bald Hills: brick veneer and chamferboard

The 1960s to 80s belt: Chermside, Aspley, Stafford, Kedron, Carseldine, Bracken Ridge, Bald Hills, Boondall. Mostly lowset brick veneer over timber frames, with chamferboard and some fibro. The bracket goes into the frame behind the brick; fibro from before 1990 is treated as potentially containing asbestos and is not drilled without checking.

Strathpine to Caboolture: the 70s to 90s and the new estates

Strathpine, Petrie, Kallangur and Narangba are largely brick veneer from the 70s to 90s. Murrumba Downs, Griffin, Mango Hill and North Lakes were built out from the 2000s: steel or timber frames with gyprock, Hebel party walls in townhouses, and apartments in the town centre. Steel stud takes a spanning plate for larger screens; Hebel takes AAC anchors.

Redcliffe peninsula and the bayside

Redcliffe, Margate, Scarborough, Sandgate and Brighton mix everything from old timber to new units. Salt air makes the outdoor side of our work harder; indoors the wall is identified the same way. The peninsula is about 9 km from the base and books as standard travel.

The Topline Price Promise

A fixed price on the phone, and the quote is the invoice

Every mounting job is priced on your actual wall, screen and cable run: a free, fixed number in one call, no site-visit fee and nothing added on the day. Already have a written quote from an insured installer? Show us and we beat it. The quote always covers set-out at your preferred height, stud or masonry location, a bracket fixed across at least two studs or into structural masonry, the screen hung, levelled and locked, every source tested in front of you, and the room left clean. The full wall-by-wall detail is on the Brisbane TV wall mounting page.

Asked across the northside, answered straight

Name the suburb and the screen size. We probably know the street style of the house before you describe the wall.

Which suburbs count as north Brisbane for you?

Everything from the inner north out to the Moreton Bay boundary: Chermside, Aspley, Stafford, Kedron, Nundah, Clayfield, Carseldine, Bracken Ridge, Bald Hills, Sandgate, Boondall, Strathpine, Petrie, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Griffin, North Lakes, Mango Hill, Redcliffe, Narangba and Burpengary, with Caboolture at the far end. We are based in Mango Hill, so this is home ground and the quickest part of Brisbane for us to reach.

We are in a new estate. What is different about mounting there?

Two things. Many homes built since the mid-2000s around North Lakes, Mango Hill, Griffin and Murrumba Downs are steel-framed, and a coach screw does not hold in thin steel the way it does in timber, so larger screens get a spanning plate across several studs. Townhouse party walls are often Hebel, which needs AAC-specific anchors. Both are routine for us and both are quoted up front, because they take longer to do properly.

Do you charge travel for the Redcliffe peninsula or Caboolture?

No. The whole northside from the inner suburbs to Caboolture is standard metro travel from Mango Hill. Redcliffe is about 9 km from the base. The only travel loading we charge is for the rural fringe beyond Caboolture, and it is quoted before you book, never added on the day.
