Antenna installation and repair
Antenna work is the one service where a blind fixed price would be dishonest: the right answer depends on what the signal at your address is doing, which is why every job starts with a signal check and the meter reading is handed to you. These are the ranges real jobs land in.

Why no single number for a new antenna: half of greater Brisbane points at Mount Coot-tha (VHF, horizontal) and much of the south-east at Darlington Range (UHF, vertical). The right hardware differs, so the price does too - anyone quoting one flat price has not asked which transmitter serves you.

Starlink installation
You buy the kit from Starlink, JB Hi-Fi or Bunnings so the warranty sits in your name; we install it properly. Mount hardware is charged at cost. Full mount detail in the roof mount guide.

No surprises
The six things that move any quote

The wall or the roof. Gyprock and Colorbond are routine. Hebel, besser, steel stud, poured concrete, VJ boards and tile all take different fixings and more time - the surcharges above, in the open.

Size and bracket type. A full-motion arm loads the wall far harder than a fixed plate, and screens over 75 inches are a two-installer lift, booked that way.

The cable run. A short in-wall drop is quick. A long run, a double-brick cavity, or a slab with no ceiling access is honest extra time.

Access and height. Two-storey, steep pitch and older tin change how long it takes to work safely - that is the +$100–$200 line, not a mystery fee.

What the signal is doing. Antenna work is priced after the meter reading, because the reading decides whether you need realignment, new hardware, or an amplifier removed.

Travel. Metro Brisbane is standard. The rural fringe and the bay islands carry a travel loading quoted up front, before you commit to anything.

Because a mount on a known wall is a knowable job, and making you call for a number you could have read is a sales tactic, not a service. The honest exceptions - antenna work before a signal check, complex roofs - are published as ranges with the reason attached. The things we cannot know in advance, we say we cannot know. That is the whole policy.
Is the quote really fixed?
Yes, with one honest boundary: the price is fixed for the job we quoted. If the job changes on site - the wall turns out to be Hebel behind old paint, or you add a soundbar while we are there - we tell you the new number before doing the extra work, and you decide. What never happens is a surprise on the invoice.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
Not for quoted installation work - the price you accept is the whole price. Diagnostic antenna visits carry the service-call fee in the table above because the diagnosis is the work; it is credited toward the fix if we do further work the same visit.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes - every figure on this page is the amount you actually pay, GST included. The invoice shows the GST component broken out, as it should.
How can I pay?
Card or bank transfer on completion, once everything is tested in front of you. Businesses and body corporates can request an invoice with terms. We do not ask for deposits on standard residential jobs.
Why are you dearer than the cheapest Airtasker quote?
Because the marketplace floor and a warranted professional install are different products. The $50 job is a bracket screwed to whatever the drill hits first, no concealment, no insurance question asked. Our number includes the wall identified before drilling, fixings matched to it, cables concealed where possible, public liability insurance and a 5-year workmanship warranty - and it is still usually inside the published Brisbane range. When the cheap job fails, the reinstall costs more than doing it once.
